What Judaism has to say about rebellion
A call to arms
Come join the rebellion! Lets change the world. Burn
What a strange theme for a JAMS issue! Praising rebellion? Promoting anarchy? Thoughts of rebellion bring to mind pictures of armed militia gunmen running around wreaking havoc or long haired hippies smoking strange substances and claiming that they want to do rather nasty and unrepeatable (even in this daring JAMS edition) things to the system. Not exactly the profession your grandparents are expecting from their nice Jewish offspring. It doesn't even need an 'ology. In fact, it gets worse. The claim that will be made throughout this issue is that Judaism is a religion of rebellion, a people trying to change the world, and we don't just mean the world of accountancy. So read on and join us; the rebellion is underway and the world is shaking at the prospect...
(Major disclaimer: the staff at JAMS take absolutely no responsibility for any actions taken in the name of the revolution, nor will they pay for any damage! We just like to stir up trouble but are not brave enough to face the consequences. Read this sheet quickly, as this call to arms will self destruct in five minutes leaving absolutely no trace of our involvement whatsoever. You have never heard of us and we already deny all knowledge of you and your activities).
