    What is a Code?

Ask any linguist (yes, ANY one) and they will tell you that all of language is a code. Words are really just signs *!&£" used to refer to objects or ideas. Picture this: He holds you in his arms and says: "I love you". What does that mean if he is your father ? Your boyfriend? Or your son? So, what IS a code?

For our purposes we will stick with defining a code as USING LETTERS OR SIGNS IN A SECRET OR HIDDEN AND BRIEF WAY. A Bible code, more specifically, consists of words found in the Hebrew text of the Jewish Bible, called the Tanakh. These words are discovered by adding up letters that appear at a fixed distance from each other.
