July National Weekend Steering

We are currently looking for eager AJ6 members to be on the steering committee for July National Weekend this year. Members of the Steering Committee are the main people behind the event. They plan a large amount of National Weekend, including the writing of programmes, organising the last night party and much much more!

If you would like to steer then please speak to any member of the National Executive Committee or alternatively contact the aj6 office at: office@aj6.org

There are a few important things to note, regarding wanting to do it:

- You must have been on at least 1 AJ6 National Weekend or Winternational before
- You cannot be in Year 12 ( most year 12’s are back at school during the period of time of steering but if you are an exception, then there is no problem)
- You must be serious about wanting to do it. It is a lot of fun but hard work so please only agree to do it if you will be committed.

Where: The depths of Hillel House
When: Saturday 24th November 2007
Time: 7 pm - Late
Cost: £7 - Money goes to Magen David Adom and AJ6 Subsidy Fund!
Dress code: EMO... duh!

[Dress-up ideas: skinny jeans, lots of black eyeliner, side fringes, a mix of bright colours with black, skinny ties, converses, fluorescent tutus etc !]

Winternational Conference!

Its getting dark earlier, the rain has returned (but then did it ever leave?) and we all need a little bit of cheering up! So what better way than by being able to look forward to...

WINTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE!
27th - 31st December 2007

AJ6 Winter National (or Conference) is our biggest UK event of the year! 5 days packed with: laughter, friendship, creative and fun programmes, AJ6's great Shabbat atmosphere and of course... SCHNITZELS! (we are sorry but we cannot confirm if schnitzels will actually be on the menu). What also makes this event so special is the involvement of teenagers from AJ6's Shlomi region in Israel! This event is also where the new National Executive are elected and an opportunity for you to shape what AJ6 does for the next year!
'But what about my revision?!' - Don't worry theres is time set aside to make sure you can revise if you require it so now you have no excuse not to come :)

AJ6 is about to turn 30 so it is time to work out what
AJ6 will be doing for the NEXT 30 years!

This is your chance to make AJ6 into whatever you want
it to be, to make us work at whatever you want us to
work at, to run the activities you want us to run!

So come along for some food and fun with your friends
and make AJ6 what you want it to be.

July National Weekend (JNW) will take place from 6th- 8th July 2007 in Norfolk! National Weekend offers a fantastic opportunity to meet up with other AJ6 members from all over the UK, top quality programmes, a welcoming atmosphere, a chance to expand your Jewish identity, fantastic student leaders and lots of laughs! A great way to start the summer!
